What is a ceiling extractor hood?
A ceiling extractor hood is an overhead cooking extraction system that helps remove smoke, grease and odours during cooking. This type of hood is typically installed directly into the ceiling and is positioned above your hob. Since it sits further away from the wall than a standard range hood, it disperses air more evenly throughout the kitchen. Ideally your ceiling cooker hood is larger in size to allow for superior airflow which helps keep smoke and odours away from walls and other surfaces. With the hood being inside your ceiling only the fascia can be seen, this picks up less dirt and dust and isn’t needed to be cleaned as often as a standard hood hung on the wall.
